Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

This Cancellation Policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. VoltShare is an early-stage product, and these terms may change as the service evolves.

This Cancellation Policy is part of the VoltShare Terms of Use and applies to Drivers and Hosts. It explains what happens when a booking is cancelled, a Driver does not show, a Host cancels, or a charging session is interrupted. Capitalized terms have the meaning given in the Terms of Use.

1. Driver cancellations

  • Free cancellation. You may cancel a booking free of charge anytime before your session starts. When you cancel, the authorized hold on your payment method is released in full and you are not charged.
  • No-show. If you do not show for a confirmed booking and the session is never started, the Host may report a no-show after your booking window ends. In that case we charge a no-show fee of 50% of the amount authorized for the booking, to compensate the Host for the reserved time. You are never charged for energy you did not use.

2. Host cancellations

  • Hosts are expected to honor confirmed bookings. If a Host cancels a confirmed booking, the Driver is not charged, the authorized hold is released in full, and we will help the Driver find an alternative where possible.
  • Frequent or late Host cancellations may affect a Host’s standing, ratings, search placement, or eligibility to host.

3. Driver no-show protection for Hosts

If a Driver confirms a booking and does not show, the Host is protected for the reserved time. After the booking window ends, the Host can report the no-show and receive 50% of the payout they would have earned for the session. This guaranteed payout is funded by the no-show fee charged to the Driver and is paid out through Stripe.

4. Session interruptions & equipment failure

  • On sessions priced per kWh, you are charged only for the energy actually delivered. If you use less than estimated, the unused portion of the authorized hold is released.
  • If a session cannot start or is interrupted because of a problem with the charger, end the session and report it from your trip in the app. We will review what happened, and the Host can issue a refund for energy you did not receive.

5. Extenuating circumstances

We may waive fees or provide refunds outside this Policy in genuine emergencies or other extenuating circumstances, at our discretion — for example, severe weather, a medical emergency, or other events beyond your reasonable control.

6. Refunds & how to cancel

  • Refunds and releases of authorized holds are processed through Stripe to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take several business days for the funds to appear.
  • To cancel, open the booking in your trips screen (Drivers) or bookings screen (Hosts) in the app. A cancellation takes effect once it is confirmed by the Platform.

7. Relationship to the Terms

This Policy supplements our Terms of Use. If there is a conflict specifically about cancellations, no-shows, or refunds, this Policy controls. Questions can be sent to Inova Studio LLC at [email protected].
