Host Agreement

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Agreement is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. VoltShare is an early-stage product and this Agreement may change as the service evolves. Please read it carefully — it includes important responsibilities, an assumption of risk, and an indemnification obligation.

This Host Agreement supplements the VoltShare Terms of Use (“Terms”) — the agreement between you and Inova Studio LLC, which operates VoltShare — and applies when you list or operate a charging Station on the Platform. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms. If this Agreement conflicts with the Terms on a Host-specific point, this Agreement controls.

1. Host eligibility and authority

You represent and warrant that you:

  • are at least 18 and have the legal right to share the premises and the charging equipment;
  • are not prohibited from doing so by any lease, mortgage, homeowners-association rule, covenant, insurance policy, zoning ordinance, or other law (including any home-occupation or commercial-use-of-residential-property restriction); and
  • hold all permits or approvals required for your equipment and its use.

2. Your Station and listing

2.1 You will list your Station accurately, including connector type, power, price, access method, location, and photos that genuinely depict the Station. You will keep your listing and availability current.

2.2 You are solely responsible for the safety, condition, installation, inspection, and maintenance of your charging equipment and premises, and represent that your equipment is installed in compliance with applicable electrical codes and is in safe working order.

3. Pricing and legal compliance for your offering

3.1 You set your own price. You are solely responsible for compliance with all laws applicable to your offering, including any utility, electricity-resale, tariff, metering, tax, and licensing requirements.

3.2 You are responsible for your own taxes on amounts you earn. A tax form (such as a 1099-K) may be issued by the payment processor where required.

4. Bookings, access, and conduct

4.1 You will honor confirmed Bookings and provide safe, lawful access during reserved windows, including clear, accurate access instructions and a reasonably safe, lit, and accessible charging area.

4.2 You will not discriminate against Drivers on the basis of any characteristic protected by law.

4.3 You will not contact or retain Driver information for any purpose other than the Booking, and will keep Driver information confidential consistent with the Privacy Policy.

5. Payments and payouts

Payouts are made through Stripe Connect, net of the Host Fee (3%) and any taxes or adjustments, on the schedule shown in your account. You authorize VoltShare and Stripe to process payments, payouts, refunds, and reversals consistent with the Terms and the cancellation terms described in the Terms of Use. You must maintain a valid Stripe Connected Account and accept Stripe’s applicable terms.

6. Cancellations

Host cancellations are governed by the cancellation terms in the Terms of Use. Frequent or late Host cancellations may affect your standing, ratings, or eligibility to host.

7. Insurance

You are responsible for maintaining your own property and liability insurance and for notifying your insurer that you are sharing your charging equipment, since doing so may affect your coverage.

8. Safety, risk, and liability allocation

8.1 You acknowledge that allowing third parties onto your premises to use electrical equipment carries risk, including risk of property damage, equipment failure, fire, theft, or personal injury, and you assume that risk as between you and VoltShare.

8.2 As between you and VoltShare, you are responsible for your premises, your equipment, and the safety of your Station. You will indemnify and hold harmless VoltShare and Inova Studio LLC per the Terms for claims arising from your Station, your premises, your listing, or your breach of this Agreement.

8.3 VoltShare’s liability to you is limited as set out in the Terms.

9. Suspension and removal

We may remove or suspend a listing or your account for inaccuracy, safety concerns, complaints, legal risk, or any violation of the Terms or this Agreement.

10. Term and termination

This Agreement applies for as long as you maintain a listing or Host account and survives, as to accrued obligations, after termination. You may delist at any time, subject to honoring confirmed Bookings.
