What VoltShare is and how to charge for the first time.
What is VoltShare?
VoltShare is a peer-to-peer marketplace for home EV charging. Hosts open up their home Level 2 charger during hours that suit them, and nearby drivers book a session and pay only for the energy they use. It puts existing neighborhood chargers to work instead of waiting on new public infrastructure.
How do I create an account?
Tap Sign up and register with your email or a Google account. Verifying your identity takes a couple of minutes and unlocks both booking and hosting — you only need to do it once.
How do I save my vehicle and connector?
Add your vehicle in your profile and choose its connector — J1772, CCS, NACS or Tesla. The map then only shows chargers you can actually use, so you never book a plug that doesn't fit.
How do I find and book my first charge?
Open the map, set your search area, and filter by connector, speed or price. Pick a station, choose a time window, and confirm. The exact address is shared as soon as your booking is confirmed.
Do I need an app to use VoltShare?
No — VoltShare runs in your browser on phone or desktop. Searching, booking, starting a session and leaving reviews all work from the web, so there is nothing to install to get started.
